AHHAS Class

Learn the art of marbling by bringing a new, clean white or pastel cotton handkerchief to a free class offered by The Alton Holman Heritage Arts Inc. in Cave Spring on Saturday November 22 for ages 10 and up.  The class will be held at the Cave Spring United Methodist Church Annex at 30 Alabama Street from 9am to 2pm.  You can learn more about this and other classes at AHHAS.org or by calling 706-777-8542.
Marbling is an ancient art technique, dating as far back as 986 in China, and can be used on paper or fabric.  For this class, paint will be floated on treated water and manipulated to produce colorful patterns which are transferred to the handkerchief. Led by Winifred Morrow, a retired art teacher and resident of Cave Spring, you will have a unique, handmade gift ready for the holidays.
